Individual freedoms and social responsibilities (Italian)

The spread of the Covid-19 virus has profoundly affected the exercise of individual freedoms, has squeezed the enjoyment of social ones, has involved the sacrifice of many rights, even in their intangible core. The dualism between individual freedoms and social responsibilities can be a useful tool to interpret this moment and make proposals about the future, given that many of the phenomena we are witnessing are linked to both profiles: from the tangible limitations to freedom of movement (the observance of which becomes problematic when perceived as “unjust“), to that of freedom of expression through social networks – from the social consequences of the free choice not to receive the vaccine against Covid-19, to obstacles to the exercise of other fundamental rights during the pandemic (defence rights in remote procedures – right to health in relation to diseases other than those caused by covid – right to employment and freedom to conduct a business).
