LAW IN PANDEMIC TIMES AND ITS IMPACTS IN BRAZIL: Analysis of jurisdictional measures in the context of COVID-19

The panel proposed by CCONS -Center for the Studies of the Constitution of the Federal University of Paraná, in the context of the Covid-19 Observatory project, aims to analyze the jurisdictional measures, internal and international, in the battle against COVID-19. The panel proposes a dialogical methodology from an internal and international point of view. It explores the pandemic dialogues on human rights between Brazil and the inter-american human rights system stressing the role of the control of conventionality. The pandemic has heightened vulnerabilities and challenged consolidated legal standards. It also discusses the Brazilian genocide of indigenous people due to COVID-19 and the lack of institutional actions. It analyzes the role of the Supreme Court as well as the lack of coordination in the federative battle against COVID19 pandemic. Finally, it discusses the frameworks of the access of justice in these cloudy times.
