The Comparative Analysis of the Governmental Measures against Covid-19 in East Asia

East Asian countries have historically interacted with each other for centuries and still have cultural similarities today. However, the political systems of each country are diverse, and each country has adopted a different approach to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. This panel is designed to explore, through comparisons among the four countries of China, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam, the following issues: (1) how each country responded to the pandemic – (2) what were the legal causes that determined the response – and (3) what changes in the legal system occurred before and after the pandemic, and what changes are expected in the future.
